Project Overview

The Mao Luo River Cable Stayed Bridge is located at the entrance of the 5 kilometer long Bakuashan Tunnel in Nantou County, Central Taiwan and serves to connect National Freeway No. 3 with Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 76.

This is the first steel arch pylon cable stayed bridge in Taiwan and also the longest steel arch cable stayed bridge in the world at the time of its accomplishment (119m+51m=170m).

The parabolic shaped tower with radial installed steel cables rises to a height of 60 meters while displaying the nuances of power and beauty and making the modern bridge a visual landmark in Central Taiwan.
