Project Overview
This project is located next to the Taipei City Daan District Sports Center and comprises a multi-purpose basketball gymnasium (covering 0.82 hectares) and the adjoining Heping Elementary School facilities (covering 2.88 hectares).
The basketball gymnasium is a four story Reinforced Concrete (RC) and Steel Reinforced Concrete Structure (SRC) with one basement level and is able to be used for a variety of different types of court-side events while accommodating up to 7,000 spectators and conforming to the standards of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and International University Sports Federation (FISU). The facility was also used for the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade Games.
The elementary school building is adjoined to the Basketball Gymnasium and has 6 floors plus one basement level with an underground parking lot and other ancillary facilities such as administration and dormitory buildings, a track, and an "outdoor field experience area" for trying out outdoor adventure activities.
