Project Overview
The Government of Indonesia received a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) towards the cost of the construction of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit System Project. The Project stretches over 110.3 kilometers, consisting of the North-South Corridor (Lebak Bulus – Kampung Bandan) of about 23.3 km and an East-West Corridor of about 87 km.
The Stage I construction of the North-South Corridor was carried out to connect Lebak Bulus with Bundaran HI over 15.7km of railway with 13 stations (7 elevated stations and 6 underground stations) and one maintenance depot.
There are six design-build construction contracts for this Stage 1 and among these six design-build construction contracts are three sections for underground works; including CP106.
The CP106 construction works cover a length of approximately 2.0 kilometers and include the following
-
Dukuh Atas Station;
-
Bunderan HI Station;
-
two segments of bored tunnel, and
-
one segment of cut and cover tunnel.
CECI was engaged by the Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Co., Ltd. and Hutama Karya (Persero) Joint Operation (SMCC-HK JO) as Designer for the Contractor to carry out the detailed design for the Contract CP 106 construction works which started commercial operations in March 2019.
