CECI Chairman Dr. Shih Yi-Fang together with a group of senior company managers met with officials from Taipei City Government, the Department of Health Bureau and the Department of Urban Development to participate in the “beam hosting” ceremony, which signifies auspicious fortune in Taiwan’s local construction traditions. At the ceremony, Dr. Shih Yi-Fang stressed the importance placed by CECI on Taiwan’s social housing projects.
This project – construction of the Xinyi District Guangci Social Housing complex – is among priorities in Taipei City Government’s efforts at promoting its social housing policy which aims to make housing more available and affordable for the city residents, particularly to those from socially vulnerable groups. The complex, in addition to residential buildings, will include comprehensive community administration buildings and facilities which will provide valuable services to the residents.
This project is marked by considerable challenges in terms of its tight completion schedule requiring the assistance of project construction management professionals to ensure its successful delivery, as envisioned by the Department of Urban Development.
