CECI Engineering Consultants, Inc., Taiwan (“CECI”) has noted with concern certain reports published in 2024 by news media in South Africa, particularly Swaziland News, that contain incorrect and misleading information regarding our company and personnel.
CECI wishes to clarify that Mr. Roger Tsai, who has been mentioned in these reports, has no family relation to former Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen. The claim suggesting such a connection is entirely false and without any factual basis.
All of CECI’s undertakings in the Kingdom of Eswatini are carried out in full compliance with the laws and regulations of both Eswatini and Taiwan. The company operates under official frameworks of cooperation, guided by strict professional, ethical, and transparency standards that govern all of its international engagements.
Furthermore, all projects implemented by CECI in Eswatini have been secured and executed through completely lawful and transparent processes, in accordance with applicable procurement laws, government regulations, and international best practices. At no time has CECI been involved in, or associated with, any form of impropriety, misconduct, or irregularity in relation to its work in Eswatini.
The allegations published in the said media do not correspond to reality and present an inaccurate portrayal of the company’s work and reputation. CECI firmly rejects these unfounded claims and cautions against the dissemination of misinformation that undermines the spirit of international partnership and good faith.
CECI remains committed to supporting Eswatini’s infrastructure development with professionalism, integrity, and mutual respect.
