CECI is Honored with the Ministry of Labor’s Special Labor and Health Award

On November 17, CECI was recognized with the Ministry of Labor’s Special Labor and Health Award for its continuous commitment to employee safety and well-being. CECI Chairman Dr. Shih Yi-Fang attended the annual National Occupational Safety and Health Award ceremony – organized by the ministry and attended both by Taiwan’s Executive Yuan President Mr. Su Tseng-Chang and the Minister of Labor Ms. Hsu Ming-Chun – and personally received this valuable trophy. Dr. Shih stressed that CECI is, first and foremost, a people-oriented company which has always regarded the welfare of its employees as the cornerstone of its operational philosophy. He added that in the future the company will actively continue forward with further improvements to the working environment with a steady course towards the goal of "zero occupational accidents and a long-lasting employee well-being".

As an engineering consultancy, CECI’s primary expertise lies in its professional and technologic know-how the development and fostering of which relies on the successful management of human resources and the creation of an outstanding talent pool. With this in mind, the company’s senior management has been promoting various measures enhancing the employees’ workplace comfort and safety. This includes the recent formulation of the corporate Occupational Safety and Health Policy with regular reports of the Occupational Safety Center’s Occupational Safety and Health Committee, and many others designed specifically to the needs of the employees, and to provide a safe, healthy and supportive working environment.

Over the past few years, CECI has repeatedly demonstrated its strong commitment to being a healthy workplace with such certifications as the Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (TOSHMS) and OHSAS 18001 in 2018 and CNS 45001 and ISO 45001 in 2021. This year’s award comes as another sign of recognition of CECI’s leading role in this area in Taiwan.

Dr. Shih Yi-Fang mentioned that any sustainable business operation must be based on a foundation of safe and healthy labor environment and conditions. “CECI has always placed great value on workplace safety and labor health and will continue with these efforts going forward. This important award from the Ministry of Labor is another affirmation of our long-term commitment to building a safe, stable and secure working environment for all our employees”, he said.
