A delegation from CECI visited the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT) on January 8, 2024, culminating in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU aims to foster a robust industry-university collaboration, facilitating joint resource sharing and creating mutually beneficial opportunities for both parties.
Led by Chairman Shih Yi-fang, President Liaw Shyne-Ruey, Senior Consultant to the Chairman Lee Jeng-Gun, Vice Presidents Huang Ping-Hsun and Andrew Wang, along with other senior management members, the CECI delegation was warmly welcomed by NKUHT President Dr. Chen Dun-Ji. The meeting saw the participation of other esteemed staff and faculty members, including Vice President Dr. Edward Yang, Secretary General Dr. Shen Ching-Cheng, and Dean of the Research & Development Section Dr. Hsiao Teng-Yuan.
Chairman Shih Yi-fang underscored the significant synergies and learning opportunities inherent in collaborations between organizations from different sectors. He also highlighted his longstanding acquaintance with NKUHT President Dr. Chen Dun-Ji, a distinguished expert with a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering. Dr. Chen brings extensive expertise in engineering and has held leadership roles in various educational and professional organizations within the hospitality and engineering domains. He is renowned for championing the core values embodied by NKUHT: Humanity, Professionalism, Entrepreneurship, and Internationalization.
The MOU signifies a commitment by both organizations to enhance cooperation and knowledge exchange, fostering opportunities for students and graduates while capitalizing on their respective strengths.
