Updated: Dec 30, 2019
Following up on the retirement of CECI's previous President, Mr. Wang Jaw-Lieh on July 31, 2019, CECI welcomed its new President, Dr. Shun-Min Lee, to start his tenure as President of CECI.
A licensed Professional Civil Engineer and Geotechnical Engineer, President Lee has served at CECI for 25 years now and during his career has made tremendous contributions to the advancements of the company's technical and managerial operations, especially with regard to quality assurance, cost, design and Research & Development (R&D).
A graduate of National Taiwan University, President Lee later earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before returning to CECI where he took charge of and led numerous rapid transit, land development, slope protection and cable tunnel projects at the Department of Geotechnical Engineering.
As a responsible colleague with a passion for his work, President Lee was an extremely popular co-worker who excelled as a Team Leader and loved to branch out into other areas of interest, including Value Engineering, Knowledge Management, Quality Management and Engineering Research. While climbing the ladder at CECI, President Lee has been the Head of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, the Department of Corporate Planning, the Chief Engineer's Office, the Vice President of the Construction Management Group and a board member on several of Taiwan's prominent engineering societies and associations.
CECI looks forward to much promise and prosperity under the leadership of President Lee and invites all of our friends here at home and afar to join us in extending our best wishes for more successful efforts and collaborations in facing and overcoming the challenges of our modern engineering world.
